A new job board, WeHireAmerica.jobs, has been set up to help fill more than a quarter of a million existing jobs. WeHireAmerica.jobs is operated through a partnership between HR Policy Association, the organization of human resource officers at the nation’s large employers, and DirectEmployers Association, a nonprofit HR consortium of global employers.

WeHireAmerica.jobs is currently featuring job openings at more than 300 employers and more than 250,000 unfilled positions.

Three industries account for 57 percent of WeHireAmerica.jobs postings: finance and insurance, manufacturing, and retail. Almost two-thirds require a bachelor’s degree. Seventy-five percent of the postings require that a four-year degree also require three or more years of experience.

Furthermore, according to HR Policy Association’s 2013 membership survey, member companies (representing 20 million employees worldwide) report that they have the most difficulty hiring well prepared employees with the following positions:

• Engineers (39%)
• Skilled trade workers (39%)
• Information technology professionals (38%)
• Technicians (30%)
• Management/executives (23%)
