The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived follows your basic children’s fairy-tale storyline: a young farmer becomes a knight who slays a dragon to save the kingdom, with a princess thrown in there in the middle.

The twist? This knight marries the prince.

Author Daniel Errico feels he is writing the stories kids should see, saying, “Kids are an incredibly receptive audience, and you can actually affect change in a positive way in their lives if you do it right.”

While the book is receiving support from the gay community, critics like the NJ Family Policy Council see it as an attack on traditional family values, and say they want to warn parents to be aware of that books like this one may be available to children through their school systems.
